Do you have a Gambling Problem or Gambling Addiction?
Are you a Compulsive or Pathological Gambler?
Do you have an honest desire to stop gambling?

Come and join us at:

www.gettingpastgambling.com

http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/GettingPastGambling/

Do you need someone to talk to… someone to listen to you, without feeling they are judging you, regarding a gambling problem?

Do you feel like you are the only one in this situation and wondering how you, the logical, sensible, in control of “everything”, person you recall being at some stage, got into this predicament, that seems to be threating your security – not only financially, but emotionally and physically as well?

Do you feel like there is no-one out there who will/can understand?

"If you are still gambling, but have the honest desire to stop, or if you're concerned about a family member or friend's gambling and you're looking for insight into this addiction/problem, you are very welcome at Getting Past Gambling."

You no longer need to struggle with this alone…

… Please visit our friendly on line support group for gamblers who are wanting to give up gambling , but finding it difficult if not nearly impossible to do so without some form of help.

…If you are a former gambler, please come and share your experiences and become a ray of hope/inspiration and learning to those of us at varying stages of the recovery process. …or if you are needing a little extra encouragement right now, to continue your journey…we would really like to help you in whatever way we can.

Not many rules apply here, other than courtesy, respect for the individual and please refrain from mentioning specific details of wins, as this may prove to be a trigger for some members.

Many compulsive gamblers make the internet their first port of call when they realize they need help and/or need to connect with some one who understands. Often they are in dire straits, but to embarrassed/ashamed to reach out to family/friends or even have face to face contact with professional services.

The aim of this online support group is to help anyone that comes to the forum by helping you realize you aren't alone in this battle (because that is how most of us feel/felt when we hit our Rock Bottom). Then we will try to guide you to seek professional help as well, by giving you the resources that are available to you, at the same time encouraging and supporting you as best we can.
